It is unspeakably beautiful. As though a Djinn or some mad God threw a handful of gemstones at the sky and they just stayed there, never falling, sparkling away. It is called ‘The City of Light’ by the desert peoples; a rainbow city; real but unreachable.

Who lives there is the subject of much speculation as no one can remember seeing a single soul enter or leave in many lifetimes.

Like all treasures it is desired by many. So far no one has succeeded in capturing the city because as soon as you come within a spear’s throw of the walls, it moves.

All the local tribes have tried over the years, most more than once, and every young warrior worth his name must journey to see this marvel and try to take it by stealth. But those who do return, come back disappointed and the rest the desert claims.
